Warm and Cozy

2010 everyone!

Just thought I'd share a few more images of some handmade coffee cup cozies I made for my friends during the holidays. I was, at first, going to just hand each one to them without any gift wrapping what-so-ever, but it just felt wrong to do that :) So the night before I quickly whipped up some homemade cards. I wanted to be sure they knew what they were getting and how it can be used.

The front reads:
Every little effort counts:
Enjoy your eco-friendly coffee cup cozy to keep
in your purse and use in lieu of cardboard coffee jackets.

I also needed to find a way to make these cards more multi-purpose. So I took some left over yarn; poked a small hole inside the card; inserted the yarn through the hole with the cozy attached to it; tied a knot in the back and viola!–instant holiday card and gift wrap :)
To make it fair, each one were placed in blank envelopes and I had them blindly choose their gifts. I really loved seeing how happy they were when they opened them and used them right away when we walked over to Starbucks after dinner. It really meant a lot to me.

I really enjoyed making these and hopefully you like them too :)

Next posting: I've got some knitting and crochet projects and I'll also include a link to the pattern. Talk to you guys next time! :)
